Winter 2010

This quarter we’ll be lighting up the short winter days with one-day workshops from such literary luminaries as Phillip Lopate, Terrance Hayes, Mark Doty and Garth Stein, among others. In addition, beloved former writer-in-residence Ed Skoog will be back with a one-day class on Poetry of the West, and the popular Diane Mapes will share her marketing savvy in The Art of Pitching. We have plenty of six-week classes as well—everything from writing about work with Stokley Towles to writing about sex with Roberta Brown Root. Plus classes on Crafting the Persona Poem and Guided Walks through Short Stories from current writers-in-residence Karen Finneyfrock and Ryan Boudinot—and many, many more. Don’t forget: scholarship requests are due January 11, 2010.
